J+D Design Studio, Ltd. (J+DS) is a professional design consulting firm specializing in innovative community planning and landscape architecture design.
The founding partners formed J+D Design Studio with complementary expertise in the areas of design, project management, construction and business. The core team of design professionals consists of landscape architects, architects, horticulturalists, and project managers. Our senior professionals are talented individuals with significant design experience from Asia, North America, and Mid-East. This diversity in disciplines and experience affords J+D Design Studio the ability to work across a wide range of project types and scales, and allows its team to be nimble in even the most challenging site conditions and social contexts. In addition to its core team of professionals, J+D Design Studio collaborate also with renowned landscape architects and architects around the world to create significant projects. Among these are the Lake Island Residential Project for XiaMeng Vanke with Olin Partnership Ltd. and Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP; the17 Miles Residential and Resort Project for ShenZhen Vanke with SLA Studio Land Inc. and Rocco Design Architects Ltd.; Shanghai Da Ning Commercial Centre with SLA Studio Land Inc. and RTKL.
Our design studio's organization centers on projects. The Directors and Senior Designers assigned to a project remain committed throughout that project's life. Since its founding in 2003, J+D Design Studio has completed projects all over Chinese cities including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Chengdu, Wuhan, Changsha, Shanghai, Ningbo, Suzhou, Wuxi, Beijing, Tianjin and Changchun. The implementation of work in such diverse locations is enabled both by travel and by digital transfer of drawing and image files, which is a routine component of the studio's practice.
Currently, our studio is comprised of three Directors, four Senior Designers, and thirteen other full-time design professionals. We offer comprehensive services for a wide variety of project types including urban design, waterfronts, public parks, highway corridors, corporate, commercial, resort, and residential planning and design projects.
