Fool Your Metabolism So Your Weight Loss Doesn't Hit A Plateau

If you are like many people, then you have tried many diets, with varying degrees of success. You may have lost some fat but you generally get to a certain point and then nothing you do can help you lose more fat. This plateau that many people hit, is typical with just about all diet plans. There exists a new way of preventing this plateau by working to deceive your metabolism.

It is likely you have already reached the plateau at least once--in fact, it has possibly caused a frustrating end to more than one diet program. This is an odd event, which happens to successful dieters around the third or fourth week of their diet. Until that point weight is coming off and then it simply stops, and absolutely nothing works to keep the body shedding pounds. This is how your body reacts to all of the changes you have been forcing upon it. Your body goes into a protection mode to prevent you from starving and it will decrease your metabolism. What this does, then, is keep your body from dropping any more excess weight.

This is the reason people stop trying to shed weight because, this plateau keeps them from thinking that doing so can be done. You are not quite finished learning about Losing Pounds and all that it means in your life. We have not placed any particular emphasis on any one thing because we want you to think about them objectively. It goes without saying that we have no real idea about how this is playing out for you, so we just try to present solid information. We tend to believe a firm foundation with a broad base is effective. If you can achieve that, then that is good; but in the end you have to accomplish what you can. If that describes you, then you know that you need to make the very most of your time. At least until your knowledge is broader, try to determine what directly applies to you if possible. This is just what causes most of the people to start eating again and they typically gain back more weight than they lost initially. The way to stop this is to select a diet where your calories just get shifted. What you want to do is eat a different number of calories every day, which purportedly helps you deceive your metabolism. If this works, it keeps your body from flicking the switch and going into protective mode. This can keep your body's metabolism rolling at its current rate instead of going slower and you'll continue shedding pounds. If you get to this point, you will have passed your plateau and your diet will keep working the way it was created to work.

It is pretty easy to integrate this type of plan into your day to day life. Among the most widely used strategies for caloric cycling is the 14 day method. In this plan, you adhere to your diet for eleven days and then on the 12, 13 and 14th days you eat the things you truly wish to eat. Rotate your food throughout each day to fool your metabolism and then eat whatever you desire to keep yourself from reaching the plateau. This can also help you from being frustrated with a rigid diet plan. Simply keep on repeating the fourteen days until you've reached your weight loss objectives.

Another popular program is the 2 day plan in which you eat as normal one day and the next day reduce your calories by between twenty and thirty five percent. You can certainly keep on doing this every 2 days for as long as needed to get your weight off. This program is wonderful for helping you get past your plateau and lose the weight you want to lose so you should definitely try it out.
