Conclusion. | |
As you have seen over the last few pages, the game of life is a simple simulation with surprising consequences. Its implications in the world of science are both widespread and of significant importance. All sciences look to mathematics to provide them with models which can be used to explain the behaviour of nature. Such models are especially attractive and appealing when they are as straightforward as that of the game of life. On the other hand, this investigation reveals how trying to find the answer to simple questions can lead onto huge areas of study and how enormously complex problems can be found hiding behind the simplest of concepts. |
