Passive Voice
In English, we use the
Passive
Voice
when we emphasize a
process or an action, and we are not so interested in who performs
that process or action. Look at the following sentences:
Peter made a delicious cake.
A
delicious cake was made (by Peter).

In the first sentence, we specify who made the action, whereas in
the second one, the subject of the action has become the agent,
which we can omit if we think that it is obvious or unimportant.

In Passive sentences, we always use the verb
to be in the right tense + the
past participle
