Since April 2008, Turkish Airlines has had a membership with the Star Alliance networks of airlines since April of 2008. The airlines have more than fifteen thousand employees and are centered in Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey. Turkish Airlines has been the recipient of several prestige awards, recently. Because it provides the highest premium Economy class flight food service on the globe, Turkish Airlines was award by Skytrax. In addition, the airline was deemed Europe's Fastest Growing Airline. This should not be any type of surprise due to the fact that their consecutive years that their profits have continued to rise.
One of the airline industry's leading magazines, Air Transport World, chose Turkish Airlines as the recipient for the "Market Leadership Award 2011". The internationally recognized award was presented to airline officials in a ceremony held in Washington D.C.
