A spherical lens is a transparent body formed by two spherical faces. This visual shows the types of lenses which exist. There are three types of spherical lenses: convex, concave and convex-concave. The axis of a lens is the straight line which passes through the centres of curvature of the two spherical faces of the lens. You can move the axis, just click and drag.
