The newton is the unit of force in the International System of Units.
It is defined as the force which when applied for one second on a mass of 1 kg increases its velocity by 1 m/s.
This definition is obtained through the immediate application of Newton's 2nd law:
Force which when applied to a mass of 1kg transmits an acceleration of 1 m
s-2.

The value of 1N is:
1 N = 1kg ·1 m·s-2
