The angular momentum L of a particle with respect to a point O, is the vectorial product of the positional vector r times the linear momentum m·v.
The variation of L depends on the momentum of the force applied on the particle. If it is a central force its momentum with respect to the origin of the force is 0 and the angular momentum is conserved.
