REGULAR POLYGONS
Analysis

1. POLYGONS
A polygon is a flat closed shape of three or more straight sides. A regular polygon has equal sides and equal interior angles.
1.-Use the Nippe Descartes window to form the first 15 regular polygons changing the numbers of sides each time.

Use the coloured arrows to the right of Number of Sides to change the number. You can also write the number of sides directly into the box.
The Init button restores the initial values.

2.- Notice how the more sides the polygon has the more it looks like a circle.

3.- Draw a 50-sided polygon and note that the shape is not exactly the same as a circle.

Increase the scale to 160, using the zoom, and move along the axis (change O.X to -700) to find the edge of the shape.
